Cables in the 79000, 74
Introduction
You install four types of cables with the DUT power
supply: the output cable, overvoltage cable, power cord,
and GPIB cable. These sections describe how to connect
each of these cables, as well as how to program the
GPIB address in the DUT power supply.
The 79000 system has the cables for two 6634A/Bs and
one 6624A installed in the testhead in the factory. The
cable connections for the output cables, over voltage
cables and GPIB cables are shown in
Connecting
Output, Overvoltage, Power and GPIB Cables in the
79000 on page 74.
Connecting the Output Cables
This section describes how to connect the output cables
for the DUT power supplies. These instructions are for a
system being configured for the first time.
Table 8
shows the various models of programmable DUT power
supplies available.
NOTE
When adding a supply, the configuration of
existing supplies may prevent you from following
all of these procedures. Do not reconfigure
existing supplies. Reconfiguring existing supplies
is likely to cause previously developed board tests
to fail.
