Functional Description of the M3016A Measurement Server

Extension Hardware

The Extension receives information signals (such as Temp/Press and mainstream CO

) from

the patient then transmits the data through the Server to the Monitor via the Server-to-

Monitor link bar. See the Functional Description of the Measurement Server Hardware earlier

in this chapter for a description of the normal processing of measurement data.

The mainstream CO

Extension is always used with a Server. To function correctly, both the

Server and the Extension must have compatible software revisions.

Pairing the Server with the Extension allows for the following:

• Measurement of both temperature and invasive blood pressure for the same patient.

• Two temperature measurements for the same patient including a Delta Temp calculation

feature.

• Two invasive blood pressure measurements for the same patient.
