Troubleshooting ESM Connectivity Issues
This topic describes how to troubleshoot the network
connectivity problems that you might encounter when you do
not connect the AXIe chassis to a network and instead use
the Intel PRO/1000 PL network connection.
It is recommended to connect the chassis and host PC to a
common network to establish communication and perform
firmware upgrades. However, if you use the Intel PRO/1000
PL network connection and encounter connectivity problems,
then perform the following steps.
Ensure that Intel PRO/1000 PL network connection is functional and
enabled on the host PC
1 Access Device Manager on the host PC.
2 Check if Intel PRO/1000 PL network connection is
displayed under Network Adapters. If it is not displayed,
then power cycle the chassis and then reboot the host PC.
3 Check if Intel PRO/1000 PL network connection is
enabled and working properly. If it is disabled, right- click
it and enable it.
4 Check if Intel PRO/1000 PL network connection has the
appropriate network drivers. If not, then install the
appropriate drivers from the <Installation directory of
Logic Analyzer>/CRMNetworkDrivers/PCIe.
Ensure that the network interface is enabled and configured correctly
and the Windows firewall is configured correctly
1 Check the name of the local area connection associated
with Intel PRO/1000 PL network connection in the
Control Panel on host PC. The IP address for this local
area connection must be 169.254.1.1 and the subnet mask
must be 255.255.0.0.
2 Run the script agEnableCrmConnections.cmd. This script
is available at <Installation directory of Logic
Analyzer>/CRMNetworkDrivers. The following is the
complete syntax of the command with all the parameters
that you need to specify while running the script using
the Command shell.
agEnableCrmConnections.cmd [platform] [connection
name] [install directory]
